FAQs
Do you always need an Evaluator Report?
No - only where the following three conditions apply:
The purchaser is “connected”
The sale is substantial and
The sale is within eight weeks of the administrator’s appointment.
If you are unsure about any of these, we can confirm this during our initial call.
How quickly can the report be produced?
Typically within 48 hours of receiving all required information. We can also work to tighter deadlines where necessary.
Can the administrator reject the report’s conclusion?
Yes. The administrator is not bound by the evaluator’s view, but must explain why they proceed if the evaluator is not satisfied.
What if any information is missing or unclear?
We work with directors and advisers to gather what’s needed quickly and pragmatically, helping you avoid any delays.
Is the report confidential?
The report must be provided to the administrator. It may also need to be shared with creditors and filed at Companies House, depending on the circumstances.
